Last Saturday was again a concert day. But this time it was something special. Swedish band H.E.A.T. came to Czech for the first time. And they took another great bands with them. SHIRAZ LANE is well known band for me becuase they supported Lordi on their previous tour. ONE DESIRE was the new one for me. But it was a pleasure to get to know this band. Only thing I was afraid, it was a venue. It's probably the smallest venue for serious concert in Prague. We all were like WTF? when we saw this place written. There is place for like 80 (??) people. Noone was surprised when the concert was sold out very soon. Well, but at the end it didn't end that bad. Let's say it was really "punk" gig :D
We just took it easy and came around 7PM, a while after the doors opening. The first band was SHIRAZ LANE. Boys from Finland released two ablums so the setlist was mix from them, of course. This glam/hard rock is exactly what you need in such cold and damp weather. Their energy made as warm very fast. They are great musicians and the singer Hannes has got an amazing voice. And I think some people came just to see Shiraz Lane. #bylitugregoři (sorry, a little joke for my crazy friends...)
I didn't hear anything from ONE DESIRE before the concert. Big mistake. Guys are again from Finland. They released only one album, but working on the second one as the singer André said us. Very fresh and young melodic rock with a lots of keyboards and guitar riffs. If you like this kind of music you should check them.
It was amazing how no band didn't care about the small venue and just enjoyed playing live for the fans. They also mentioned it sometimes during the sets. Erik from H.E.A.T. said he likes this kind of punk places. So maybe it wasn't so big shame after all. After H.E.A.T. came on the stage the real party could begin. Singer Erik is a big showman with the constant smile on his face. And this little venue almost got destroyed because the fans were just crazy. Erik also few times jumped down from the stage and was singing inside the crowd. Sometimes it's really fun to visit concert at the such small venues because you are so close to the band and you can have closer touch with them. That's something you will never feel in the arenas. Great moment of the concert was when Erik just alone with the acoustic guitar sang Laughing at Tomorrow. Very touching. There was time for the concert ending. Guys left the stage. Even some people left the place. But the rest of the crowd asked for more songs so long and so loud that the band came back and played two more songs. Just incredible.
After the concert we also met the bands. All very friendly and kind to the people who waited for them. And that was quite a lot. It was really nice to see familiar faces of Shiraz Lane and have a little chat with them. Hannes asked me how was the sound at this venue. They were a bit afraid of it. I assured him it was okay despite that venue.
And I also took a photo with Erik. What a lovely and adorable guy! I really hope this wasn't last H.E.A.T. concert here. Because I need to see them again so bad!
