When I found out that Septicflesh gonna play in Prague again I was so happy. There are not so many death metal bands I listen to. But Septiflesh is something special. I don't know if it's becuase of the orchestra music, the lyrics or the singer Seth but I simply love them. Saturday 6.1. was that day. I met with my friends and we were ready to rock with all the bands that night.
The first band was Odious from Egypt. Yeah, it's an interesting combination. On their Facebook you can read they play symphonic/oriental/black/death metal. I think the word oriental is the main thing. Can you imagine black/death metal with the oriental sound? No? Well, I coudn't neither. But you can check them on YouTube. The music is really interesting. Pity the sound in the club was really bad during their performance.
Then there was time for Inquisition. Well, I'm really not fan of black metal. And Inquisition is pure black metal with corpse face paint and all this shit. All I can say I survived the concert. And at the end it wasn't that bad. You know, I don't have problem with the music itself but with the singing. So if some Inquisition fan will read this... I'm sorry, just don't take it too serious. It's just not my cup of tea.
And FINALLY... Septicflesh came on the stage. Words can't describe how amazing they are. Only bad thing was they played only around one hour. But honestly, I was so fcking tired so maybe it was good :D From the new album Codex Omega they played 5 songs like Dante's Inferno, Martyr or Portrait of a Headless Man. From the others The Vampire from Nazareth, Prometheus, Anubis and of course Pyramid God, which is probably one of the most famous song from them (along with Anubis). The whole setlist you can read bellow. I think I coudn't choose better concert to start concert season 2018. And it was also sold out. They will play at Brutal Assault this year. Pity I don't visit this festival. But I'm pretty sure I will catch them somewhere else soon.
After the show I didn't expect to meet someone from band. But at the moment we were almost leaving the club we spotted Seth doing some meet&greet with the fans. So we grasped the chance and took a photo with him. He is sooo amazing. The deamon on the stage but big sweetheart off the stage.
